Susan LaMadrid has always held a fascination with many forms of art her entire life, such as piano, gourmet

cooking and needlework. Now that she and her husband have retired to Ocean Shores from Seattle and built their

dream home, she has discovered time to pursue watercolor as well as photography. She has won awards for both

photography and her watercolor painting. Recently her painting of "Kites, Kites and more Kites" was selected to

be the poster for Associated Arts of Ocean Shores  2008 poster for the Fine Arts Show.

During the winter months she enjoys skiing the steep and deeps at Crystal Mountain, where she and her husband

teach skiing. Traveling the world whenever the opportunity arises is also high on her to do list.  During the no

snow months, you will find her either on the tennis courts or combing the beaches for agates and petrified wood

with the family dog Ubu.
