The Washington coast is the place I call home.  Living "on the beach" as the locals say, runs in my blood.

We have another saying here "you'll always come back".  This holds true, because each time I leave the

coast, it always calls me back.

From the time I was a young boy art has been an integral part of my life.  The images that I create are

in no doubt highly influenced by the memories and dreams that I have accumulated in many years of

calling the west coast of Washington my home.

Artist Statement

I have to paint, create, manipulate - (not people) - materials. Everything my eyes rest upon becomes a painting . A conversation with

a friend or a stranger, freeze framed, always mindful of the composition, color, light, never ceases.

Landscape, backpacking, rainforest, mountains, native american design/art. Love living simply, but “too much of a good thing is

wonderful” (May West). My paintings reflect my love and lust of the outdoors. You the viewer will see the salmon appear in many of

my paintings. Salmon is “the giver” and brings renewal to our planet.

I like to experiment with my paintings and would describe most of my work as abstract/mixed media. Most of my work consists of

using several different mediums at one time. I use acrylic, oil, watercolor, ink, sand, sawdust, glue, photographs, belt sanders and

whatever I can get my hands on at the moment.

Trees, lakes, rivers, rocks, and sand between my toes. This is who I am.
